Formula 1 is celebrating in 2025 as it marks its 75th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, a special event has been organized at the O2 Arena in London, England, which will mark the start of the 2025 season. It will be an unprecedented gala where all the teams will gather for the first time to simultaneously present their new cars and drivers. The event, called F1 75 Live, is an initiative by Liberty Media, the company that holds the commercial rights to Formula 1, and 15,000 spectators are expected.
As part of this event, a red carpet has been prepared for the drivers and team principals to walk down before the gala. Fans will enjoy a journey through the history of Formula 1 throughout the event. Although the teams will showcase their new cars, it will be during the preseason tests at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 26 to 28 when their performance and final appearance can be appreciated.
The 2025 F1 season will feature a total of 24 races. The Mexican Grand Prix will take place on October 26 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. The gala marks the official start of the season, which will conclude on December 7 with the Abu Dhabi GP. Celebrities from entertainment, sports, and society, as well as fans from all of Formula 1, are expected to attend.
The presentation of each team will be unique, as Liberty Media has given creative freedom to the teams to showcase the designs of their cars and announce their drivers in the way they see fit. The event will take place on Tuesday, February 18, at 2:00 PM (Mexico City time) at the O2 Arena and will be broadcasted on Fox Sports and YouTube Formula 1.
