The international film festival in London has canceled the planned screening of a documentary about far-right trends in the UK and Europe due to safety concerns for festival participants. The decision was made after a thorough study of all possible options for presenting the possibility of wide public viewing of the film, reported festival director Kristy Metherell.
Director Havaan Marking stated in an interview with The Guardian that she was disappointed by the cancellation of the film screening, but understands the festival's commitment to ensuring the safety of its staff. The documentary 'Undercover: Exposing the Far Right', created by a British director in conjunction with the organization 'Hope Not Hate', which is engaged in combating racism, investigates the funding of a number of extremist right-wing movements and individuals in Europe.
