In London, the Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom, Jon Healey, and his German counterpart, Boris Pistorius, signed the "historical" military agreement, which allows, in part, for German aircraft to conduct missions under the umbrella of the Organization of Defense...
The agreement prescribes the continuation of cooperation between the countries in the field of defense and security. It also regulates interactions in the training questions, the exchange of information, as well as the development and testing of new defense technologies.
"This is an important step in strengthening relations between our countries and reaffirming our commitment to contemporary defense," Healey stated at the signing ceremony. "We see that threats to our security are becoming increasingly global, and cooperation between the United Kingdom and Germany plays a key role in this context," he added.
"This agreement will facilitate more effective work of our armed forces together in the whole world," emphasized the German defense minister, Pistorius. "We are ready for closer cooperation and the exchange of experience to ensure our security and peace in the whole world," he said.
