Authorities in the United Kingdom have detained a 61-year-old woman, accused of faking identities for various people to help them circumvent tests for British citizenship. The woman is said to be charged with falsifying documents and using fake identities in a criminal scheme. She was arrested in Enfield, North London, where she was found with "a number of false documents and a group of identities that, it is claimed, were used in a criminal conspiracy".
From June 2022 to August of the following year, the woman visited several testing centers across the United Kingdom, faking and altering identity documents to avoid detection. Philip Parr, an inspector with the criminal investigation department at the Immigration Service, noted that the complex investigation led to the end of this dangerous conspiracy.
The accused had previously developed a scheme to avoid detection, carefully selecting costumes and test locations across the country. Financial gains could have motivated her actions. The Home Office stated that the woman remains under surveillance.
The life test in the UK consists of 24 questions, aimed at demonstrating sufficient knowledge of British values, history, and society.
