Liverpool has filed an official complaint with the X platform, owned by American billionaire Elon Musk. This came after the AI Grok, belonging to X, posted offensive content targeting the club and its fans. Grok, launched by entrepreneur Elon Musk in 2023, has previously faced several crises related to its generated content. Users can ask Grok questions or request content creation, and some users asked it to generate aggressive posts about Liverpool and its fans, referencing the Hillsborough and Heysel tragedies that claimed the lives of many 'Reds' supporters. According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, the responses published by Grok were full of hurtful and offensive insults, which sparked widespread anger among fans. Another user requested the system to create an offensive post about the late Liverpool player Diogo Jota, who died in a car accident last year with his brother, which was considered a serious overstep. The newspaper also revealed that Liverpool's management quickly moved to remove these posts from the platform on Sunday, when it became apparent that other English clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, and Sunderland, had been targeted in a similar manner.
