Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, has committed to stepping back from coaching once his contract ends in two seasons, reflecting on his successful coaching legacy.

Although Josep Guardiola is obliged to stay when he leaves Manchester City, he has not yet decided whether this will mean a long break or something more sustainable. The coach signed a contract with Manchester City in November of last year, which ties him to the club for two more seasons.

Upon completing his 11-year period at Manchester City, he plans to fully leave, as he did after his departure from Barcelona before joining Bayern in 2013, although he refused to say that he would leave the coach's post definitively.

"At the end of my contract with Manchester City, I will leave. I don’t know whether I will retire, but I will need a break," said Guardiola.

Considering his coaching legacy, full of titles, including periods with the best clubs in Spain and Germany, the Catalan coach is also confident that the players he coached enjoyed watching their teams in games.

"In a coach's career, there are successful and unsuccessful times; the main thing is that successful periods are remembered longer," he added.

"There are new coaching tasks; I don't know what will happen in the future, but in the end, it doesn't have significant meaning. I am confident."
