A British doctor is accused of sexually assaulting 38 of his patients, including a 13-year-old, in hospitals in central England, the country's prosecution service announced. The subject, known as Nathaniel Spencer, 38, faces charges for 'several serious sexual offenses committed against patients while he was working as a doctor', said on Friday Ben Samples, deputy prosecutor in the West Midlands region. The incidents are said to have occurred between 2017 and 2021 at the Royal Stoke hospital in Stoke-on-Trent, and subsequently at the Russells Hall hospital in Dudley, near Birmingham, located about sixty kilometers apart. Additionally, the prosecution points to 38 alleged victims, including a minor of 13, of this former resident doctor who has been banned from practicing. He also faces charges for 32 sexual assaults, 17 with penetration, and one attempted sexual assault with penetration. The subject, who resides in the outskirts of Birmingham, is due to appear at the North Staffordshire court, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, on January 20.
