The editor-in-chief of the American magazine Vogue, Anna Wintour, announced that she does not plan to retire soon after receiving the Order of Prince Charles III at Buckingham Palace. Wintour, who was elevated to the rank of "Companion of Honour" in 2017, has now joined a limited group of only 60 people.
Anna Wintour (75 years old), British-American, said: "It is wonderful to return to Buckingham Palace," adding that she was "overwhelmed and humbled" by this honor. Wintour was dressed in an outfit by Alexander McQueen and briefly removed her famous glasses for this ceremonial occasion.
An icon of fashion, born and raised in Great Britain, continued: "This morning the coral asked me, does this mean that I am going to stop working, and I categorically replied 'no', so this recognition reinforces my confidence that I still have much ahead of me."
