The family of Marianne Faithfull announced that in April a mini-album of four songs titled "The Burning Moonlight Ballad" will be released. A month and a half after her passing, a new song by the British singer and actress premiered on Friday.

Nicholas Dunbar, Faithfull's son, expressed: "As we mourn the loss of Marianne, we are delighted to announce the release of these songs that she was working on in the year prior to her death." However, the release was postponed after Faithfull's passing on January 30.

Faithfull, known for hits like "As Tears Go By", "Come and Stay With Me", "This Little Bird", "Summer Nights" and "Broken English", was one of the prominent singers since the 1960s. In addition to her successful music career, she also ventured into theater and film, working with renowned directors such as Jean-Luc Godard and Sofia Coppola.

The EP "Burning Moonlight" will initially be released in limited edition vinyl format on April 12, and will later be available in digital format on June 6. Originally, the EP release was scheduled for February.
