Hair loss is one of the most common conditions among men, causing a lack of confidence about their appearance and overall impression. Many strive to combat baldness through various methods. A recent study revealed different perceptions of hair loss and its influence on attractiveness, reported by the "Daily Mail" newspaper.
In the frame of the study, 2000 women were asked about the traits they consider most attractive in men. It turned out that for the majority of women, baldness is considered one of the attractive features in men and took second place (40%), only yielding to muscular build, which occupied first place with 42%. Hair was found to be more attractive than blue eyes (38%), beards (36%), black hair (31%), curly hair (30%), high cheekbones (26%), light hair (22%), and green eyes (21%). Additionally, 10% of women expressed a clear preference for men with tattoos.
These results suggest that men’s attractiveness may be associated with a greater number of traits, not limited solely to thick hair.
Previous research also indicates that baldness is perceived as a sign of social maturity, intelligence, and uniqueness, and is also associated with a higher rating of women compared to men with thick hair.
Commenting on the results, Jesseka Leoni from the "Elisits Encounters" agency, which conducted the study, noted: "Attractiveness is an individual issue, however, it is evident that bald men are considered attractive by many women."
The obtained results indicate that men experiencing hair loss can simply accept their appearance and enjoy confidence in themselves, instead of spending money on expensive procedures to fight baldness.
