Britain recorded extremely low temperatures on Sunday, December 28th. The weather service forecasts temperatures dropping to -12°C in some parts of Scotland, and to -7°C in northern England and Wales. The UK Met Office predicts winter conditions will continue until January 10, 2026, spreading from Scotland southwards. Warnings for snow and ice are in effect from the morning of New Year's Day until January 2nd. The UK Meteorological Office has issued warnings for snow and ice, predicting a severe cold wave bringing Arctic frost to the United Kingdom at the start of the new year.
