Argentinian driver Franco Colapinto had his first day as an Alpine driver, the French team where he will be a reserve driver in Formula 1. Colapinto, who was announced a few weeks ago in the French team that has Italian Flavio Briatore as a sports advisor, shared some images at the Enstone headquarters in the UK. He was even seen posing next to the R25 with which Spaniard Fernando Alonso won the championship in 2005 when the team was called Renault.
The Argentinian joined Alpine after his time at Williams, a team with which he competed in nine Formula 1 Grand Prix, where he notably scored five points for finishing eighth in Azerbaijan and tenth in the United States.
Colapinto would begin the season as a reserve driver, although there is speculation that he would take the place of Australian Jack Doohan if the latter does not perform as expected in the early races of the year.
