Legend of "Liverpool" Jamie Carragher admitted his mistake in the statements about the Africa Cup of Nations.
Carragher stated that his words about the fact that he would be happy if he hadn't had to be present at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021 were mistakenly interpreted as a disgrace to the tournament.
"I was wrong in the statements about the Africa Cup of Nations, I agree that this is an important competition for many clubs and footballers," Carragher said.
He added that he respects the Africa Cup of Nations as a tournament and justified himself before those who felt offended by his words.
