Football coaches expressed their opinion on the upcoming holding of an expanded club championship of the world with the participation of 32 teams, scheduled for the period from June 14 to July 13 in the USA.
Pep Guardiola, the coach of Manchester City, expressed his position regarding the possibility of holding a tournament of such a scale. "I don't think that one week off could be considered beneficial for players who participate in the tournament, and then they receive a week off before the start of a new season," Guardiola shared his opinion.
Arne Slot, the coach of Liverpool, expressed a similar viewpoint before the match with Chelsea. "Currently, all ten people working in this area, or possibly ten out of ten, do not feel the need to hold another tournament after a lengthy season," noted the Dutch coach.
