According to English media, Liverpool is showing interest in one of the players from Real ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window. This interest is prompted by the possible departure of Mohamed Salah from the team, in case the club cannot negotiate a contract extension with the player, and also takes into account the potential departures of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The "Caught Offside" publication claims that Liverpool's management is interested in signing the Real Madrid winger and Turkey national team player, Erdy Güler, in the next summer transfer window. Club officials believe that acquiring Güler will be a great solution for the near future, in case of Salah's departure or his contract extension for only a few years.
Mohamed Salah's contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2025. The publication also states that Liverpool will enter a serious competition with Arsenal, which is also interested in signing Güler to meet the requirement of their head coach "cannon" Mikel Arteta, to replace Martin Ødegaard.
According to Spanish sources, Real Madrid does not agree to sell their Turkish player for less than 70 million euros. Erdy Güler is considered one of the most talented young players in European football, demonstrating his qualities at the UEFA U-21 Championship in 2024 and a few matches for Real Madrid.
The young footballer faced challenges in Liverpool due to insufficient playing time in Real Madrid, having played only 11 matches across all tournaments this year, spending 291 minutes on the pitch and not scoring a single goal since the start of the season.
