Starting from the fact that the English football club "Arsenal" received a significant sanction from the English football association, as stated in an official statement, published recently by representatives of the governing body of the football industry in England.
The reason for the imposition of the penalty on "Arsenal" was an incident that occurred during the match between "Arsenal" and "Wolverhampton" at the beginning of January of the current year in the prestigious English championship.
During the game, Arsenal player Myles Lewis-Skalli was removed from the squad, which provoked sharp protests from other players of the team against the referee's decision.
After this, "Arsenal" submitted an appeal against the decision on the removal of Lewis-Skalli, which was accepted, and the red card was immediately annulled. Despite this, the approval of the appeal did not prevent the English football association from imposing a significant sanction on "Arsenal".
In the official statement, the English football association stated: "An independent organizing committee imposed a fine of £65,000 on 'Arsenal' in connection with the match of the English Premier League against 'Wolverhampton' on January 25. 'Arsenal' could not guarantee that its players would not behave with contempt in the 43rd minute of the match, which led subsequently to the club being charged, and the organizing committee imposed this sanction after hearing the stated reasons.
In his report on the previous match, referee Michael Oliver wrote: "After the removal of the player in the 43rd minute, several players of 'Arsenal' surrounded me to protest against the decision."
