The leader of the British government, Keir Starmer, presented a large-scale program for the construction of "new homes" yesterday, calling it the most ambitious since the end of World War II, aimed at solving the acute problem of housing in the country. The new Labour government, which came to power in July, aims to build 1.5 million homes by 2030. The new homes will be based on the creation of "beautiful, well-structured neighborhoods, with affordable housing, medical facilities, schools, and public transport."

Highlighting these qualities, the strategy was inspired by the plans of the Labour government of the late 1940s, which built new housing estates to address the problem of housing shortages after World War II.
