Emirates has announced that eligible travelers without an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will not be permitted to board the aircraft. The airline advised passengers traveling to the United Kingdom to review the new changes in UK travel requirements. This comes as the country transitions to digital migration systems and implements the mandatory ETA. The carrier explained via its website that UK authorities have begun replacing traditional paper immigration documents with electronic visas (eVisa). Additionally, an ETA is now mandatory for travelers who do not require a prior visa for short stays of up to six months.
