John Charlton, the older son of the legendary Jack Charlton, did not inherit the golden medal of his father for winning the 1966 World Cup after his father's death in 2020 due to an inheritance tax.

According to Charlton Jr., his father's victory in the World Cup was his greatest achievement, but after his passing, his older son had to sell some items from his father's collection to pay the inheritance tax on the inherited medal.

"This medal symbolizes a lot not only for me and my family but also for the entire nation. Selling parts of my father's collection was a very difficult decision, but necessary," he said.

Jack Charlton was a famous English footballer who left an indelible mark in football history. His victory in the 1966 World Cup is considered one of the brightest achievements in the history of the England national team.
