As initial data showed, the number of migrants arriving in Britain on small boats via La-Manche exceeded 30 thousand this year. Starting from the beginning of the year, 327 boats were recorded crossing La-Manche, which is more than three times greater than the entire past year. Due to the hot weather and calm seas, the number of crossings has significantly increased. It is important to note that migration organizations expressed their concern over the growing number of migrants risking their lives, primarily during dangerous journeys across La-Manche. Recent incidents, including the loss of lives during attempts to cross the channel, have raised sharp questions regarding immigration policy and security at the border.
