Guardiola Faces Pressure as Man City Aims for Top Four

Pep Guardiola, the head coach of Manchester City, admitted on Friday that he feels pressure, trying to correct an unsuccessful season in the English championship over the last four seasons, currently occupying one of the top four places in the Premier League. City, having won six out of seven of the last championship titles, is currently in fourth place with 47 points, just one point behind Nottingham Forest, which they meet in the Saturday match of the 28th round.

City hopes not to miss participation in the League of Champions next season, where they have been a regular since 2011-2012 and claimed their first titles in 2023. When Guardiola was asked at the pre-match press conference against Nottingham Forest about the pressure he is under now, at a time when City was fighting for the win in the Premier League, he replied: "Pressure is always there. In bigger clubs, there is always pressure."

The coach emphasized that they are striving to finish the season in one of the top four places and have a chance at a third place in the tournament table, while also ensuring their participation in the League of Champions. Guardiola also expressed concern about the threat from their rival, Nottingham Forest, which is coached by Nuno Espírito Santo, despite their declining form in recent weeks.
