Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson received sad news after his horse 'Calf du Bourlay' (6 years old) collided with jockey Harry Cobden in the final stages of the Coral Silver Cup Chase. The horse could not recover from its injuries in the accident, so veterinarians had to euthanize it. Ferguson fully owns or has stakes in 30 horses after retiring from football management, but du Bourlay was one of his dearest horses. In February 2024, he brought him to Saudi Arabia to watch him win the Adonis Hurdle race.
