Buckingham Palace announced that the Nigerian President will make a state visit to the UK in March. President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu will visit on March 18-19, marking the first such visit in four decades.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla will host the delegation at Windsor Castle. Full details will be revealed later.

Charles visited Nigeria four times (1990-2018) before becoming King. He previously met Tinubu at Buckingham Palace in September 2024. The last Nigerian state visits to the UK occurred in 1973, 1981, and 1989.
